Study Material for Review Officer prelims Exam 2017-2018 - What to study for RO/ARO Prelims Exam ?

Dear Aspirants ,

Welcome to my blog ClearUPPSC.

In today's post I will discuss on study material for Review Officer prelims examination.

1. Current Affairs :  News Paper or any mobile app or website as per your convenience .You can also study Chronicle Monthly or any other magazine as per your interest. As I had mentioned in previous post as well that you can follow any source but make sure that you study the current affairs on daily basis and make short notes of them.In this exam the current affairs of last 6 months are asked so all the events of national and international importance should be on your finger tip.As the exam is in April month so cover the current affairs till mid March .

2-Geography : As there is very less time left in prelims exam so we need to cover only that part which is important.I would suggest you to don't go for multiple resources and stick to only class 6th to 12th geography NCERTs .Once you complete the NCERT go through Lucent geography section and Ghatna Chakra geography .As mentioned earlier as well you should memorize the previous year questions with their correct answers.

3-Indian Polity : There is no need to read any other book apart from LakshmiKant .Once you memorize the LakshmiKant just cover the previous year question papers and you can score 100% marks in this section.

4- General Science : Science portion in Lucent and previous years question papers of UPPSC Upper ,lower and RO exam .

5- Economy : Budget ,Economic Survey ,Lucent Economy section and previous year question papers.

6-Indian History : NCERT class 11th and 12th ,Lucent history portion ,Ghatnachakra History ,previous years question papers.

7- Indian national Movement :  Lucent Indian National Movement portion ,GhatnaChakra ,S.K.Pandey national movement and previous year question papers.

8-Hindi : Haridev Vahri ,Vasudev Nandan Pandey ,previous year question papers.

9-Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning : R.S. Agarwal.

10-UP Special : Ghatnachakra and previous year question papers.

11- Miscellaneous : Lucent

So ,start your preparation and cover as much as you can.I would suggest you to finish all the syllabus by mid march and then start revision only.

Best of Luck.

(Prelims) Strategy for UPPSC Review Officer- How to Clear RO exam in 3 months ?

Hi Aspirants,

Today ,we will discuss about strategy for UPPSC RO/ARO exam.As you know that there are very few days left so we need to have a proper strategy then only we can clear this exam.

Always remember one thing friends ,in today's world one who works hard may or may not succeed but one who works smartly is definitely going to be successful .

As there is a saying that if you want to cut down a tree in five minutes then you should spend two minutes in sharpening your axe ,similarly if you want to clear this RO/ARO exam in these 3 months then you should spend at least one to two weeks in formulating your strategy .

So ,lets discuss about the strategy about this exam. Before jumping to strategy part let me tell you that the pattern of UPPSC exams has changed in last 1 year and therefore expect some changes in RO paper as well and prepare your strategy accordingly.

1. Current Affairs  -  This is the most important section and will be a game changer.I would advise you to read the current affairs on daily basis and make notes of important national and international events. The best source to prepare current affairs is news paper ,you must read the news paper on daily basis and make short notes of important things.

There are many sources for preparing current affairs and you can follow anyone of your choice.I would also like to tell you that don't go for multiple sources as time is very less and you need to utilize that very effectively.

2-Question Papers of previous years - This is another very important section which is easiest and most scoring. You need to  make sure that you don't lose even a single  make in this section otherwise someone will snatch your seat from you.

The important thing to note here is that you must memorize the answers of questions asked in last 10 years in UPPSC upper/Lower ,RO/ARO exam ,and if possible go through the IAS prelims paper of last 4 years as well.

3- Fundamental Knowledge -  This is very vast section and here you need to decide very wisely what to study and what not.If you don't have any basic knowledge about subjects start with NCERTs and then read any standard book.We will discuss this section later as it covers maximum part of the question paper .

If you will study for 06:00 hours daily then it's for sure that you will clear the RO/ARO prelims. But , you should be honest, disciplined and punctual in your studies then only you will get through this exam .

In next post we will discuss about books and other sources for preparing various sections.

Best of Luck.
